The Hollywood Industry is a hard one to get into if you're an aspiring actor, director, etc.
Talentboom! came to me seeking help in front-end development and enhancing their user-interface experience. I am still actively collaborating on Talentboom! to this day.

What They Needed
Talentboom! has gone through a couple development teams, and because of that there was unnecessarily complicated code that surfaced in the application. This made it incredibly difficult to make changes as a newcomingdeveloper, and even caused higher load averages on the application server for visiting the site. On top of the front-end rewrite, Talentboom! also required some interface tweaks, but not a re-design as that was already in place.
What I Did
Using my knowledge of Ruby on Rails, Haml, and Sass; I re-wrote the entire presentational layer of the site (xhtml, css, javascript). I then collaborated on how to tweak the interface of Talentboom! to enhance the user-experience in the best way possible. After a few iterations of interface flows with the client, we came up with interface tweaks "that makes the site feel complete."
The Result
The site has improved dramatically "behind the scenes" where the front-end code lives, and on the actual presentational layer where the user actually experiences the site. We're happy with what is going on with Talentboom! and we're still actively improving the site to this day.

One thing to point out, is that the design was specifically created to use in a grid system.

Getting to my office
Fly your private jet to LAX or Burbank airport. Then tell a cab/limo that you want to get to “pinks”. Pinks is the most famous hot dog stand in the world, and it’s a block away from my office.
Once you get to pinks, pick up several chili dogs for you and I; then go ahead and walk one block west and give me a call or ring the door. We’ll be right there to greet you and have a meeting over amazing food.
